In 1980 Colin Hodgetts was commissioned by Mowbrays to write a study guide giving the laity sufficient understanding and skill to participate in services and design acts of worship for special occasions. The book Exploring Worship has now been revised and is available on Colin’s website as a pdf file for free download.
Also on the site are simple settings of sixty psalms, of which Archbishop Rowan Williams has written, ‘I think this is an extraordinary achievement. It’s very hard to bring off a real rewriting in real English … but I think the percentage of direct hits is impressive.’
